To all residents: We wish to clarify BVA policy. Specifically our zero-tolerance policy for leaving trash by curbsides the day before scheduled pickups. Technically 12:01 a.m. begins the day of scheduled trash pickup. So of course, residents putting their trash cans at curbside for pickup anytime after midnight is acceptable. Even those wishing to put their trash cans out for pickup anytime after dark the evening before pickup would be perfectly fine. What is not acceptable and subject to fine: 1) Placing trash/recycling by the curb prior to darkness the evening before pickup. 2) Placing trash bags out by the curb overnight. If you choose to put your trash/recycling out by the curb after dark the night before pickup, it must be in TRASH/RECYCLING RECEPTACLES ONLY. NO TRASH BAGS OR LOOSE ITEMS. We sincerely hope this clarifies our policy. Please feel free to contact the office or your councilperson should you have any further questions regarding this, or any other matter that effects the community at large.
